The story

One man.
One shop.
No retreat.

On the evening of 18 October, the streets of central Milan filled with smoke and broken glass. Shutters came down, windows went in, and most people ran.

He didn't. A man in a grey T-shirt planted himself in front of his shop and refused to let the rioters through. The clip went around the world in an hour.
